I did find a newer problem. seems native to this board and this board only.

apparently the cpu diode temperature is falsely reported to the bios's C.O.P. *CPU overload protection) and causes it to shutdown. This explains why my bios's hardware detection temperatures were so amazingly high on my cpu. I found a program that effectively "resets" the diode sensor and makes it display the real temperature. I'm about to test it by starting up CS.
