When I put an OEM spoiler on my LS, I had to switch to GS/GSR stays which were designed for spoilers. You can get stays at the dealer for about $50/side or you can buy aftermarket stays at most auto stores. Just make sure to get the ones for models that came with spoilers.
Yup, this is correct.
I checked the part numbers and there are two different sets of hatch stays for models with or without spoilers.
You should be able to get them at any Acura dealer. Just tell them you need the stays for an ITR to avoid any confusion. Or you can order them from
Majestic Acura. Their part numbers (these are not the Acura part numbers) are 50808 for the right and 50991 for the left.
