I use Norton/Symantec products on the notebooks and McAfee/America Online products on the desktops.

They seem to work about equally well.

The nice thing about the McAfee/America Online solution is that you're allowed to use a single subscription on several computers, provided that there is a client installation with the same master screen name on every computer.
