Well, I was hoping we could stick to the FACTS.
I did not hit a pedestrian, I hit a cat. People do not equal cats. Lets not get hysterical here.

As far as the deer arguement, that's different. Like I said, I saw in Ally McBeal once that pets are considered property. If your neigbors dog ran over to your yard, chewed up your garden hose and hurt your kid, you'd sue, right? If a wild deer did the same thing, you wouldn't sue, right? see how that deer argument makes NO sense?
