Lots of people who justifying street racing seems to reference that if it were not for street racing 40 or 50 years ago, there would be not "Hot Rodding" of cars, NHRA, NASCAR and other racing events all have their roots back into an illegal activity, however 40 or 50 years ago, there were not as many people or cars on this earth, the roads were dead after 7 or 8pm because most people worked normal 9-5 jobs, and you could be assured that at after 9ish or so the roads would be emptied. However today everyone works long hours and different shifts, it seems like every one you know has a car now. There is no such thing as an empty street anymore, some one might take a different way home and drive right into your favorite street race areas and you might kill them or yourself, I have heard that happen twice this past year, just remember there are no empry roads anymore.
