IT ALL DEPENDS ON APPLICATION

And actually, most 2 stroke diesel engines that use FI have superchargers because they demand a lot of torque at a low RPM....which is exactly what a turbo doesn't do.
The Detroit 2 strokes yes do use SC and turbo.......ok if you want to get back into more automotive applications. A SC needs hp to make hp since it is driven off of a pulley rather than spent exhaust gasses. If you are using 300hp and are only making 350hp, yes that is very extreme but just making a point, then you really haven't gained much. Its more efficient to just use spent exhaust gasses to make power.
