Both competitors were within the rules as far as where the timer was placed.
To the spectators, it looked like one person might have won, but the timers recorded a win for the other person.
That's kind of sketchy, however, the guy who placed it as far forward as he could within' the rules obviously paid attention during his rules briefing and did what it took to win.
