:werd: I definitely have a strong preference for s/c over turbo. Of course, which is "better" is a matter of personal driving style and tastes. My 00 Civic EX is a daily driven commuter which rarely sees over 50 mph (nearly all city driving), so I prefer no lag despite the lower top-end hp. I really like the immediate low rpm power delivery, and the sweet sound of the s/c. Plus I never race. I bought the s/c because I got sick of having to wait till 4500 r/min for power. Here is my setup:

JRSC with 8 psi pulley
JR fuel pump
MSD boost timing master (set at 1 degree/psi, with base timing at 12 BTDC)
K&N air intake
Mugen Thermostat
Mugen Fan Switch
Stock tires, wheels, exhaust, suspension, and everything else

Obviously, if you like to race people, roots s/c is probably the wrong way to go, but for my needs and personality, I couldn't have chosen a better setup .
