Well...I am not too sure where to go with performance upgrades with my car. I have the normal SOHC engine and I can maybe turbo it but I just don't know what to do. It is gonna be a couple grand to do the turbo but it would also be a couple grand to do an engine swap as well. I don't know if I should just do an engine swap to say...maybe a B series engine or even an H22 engine and get close to the equivalent amount of power of what a turbo would give my current engine. What do you all think? Should I swap out my d16 and throw in a better engine and build on top of that or try and milk out the most out of my current engine? Let me know what route you think I should take. I am just looking for more power and don't know which way to go.

My uncle (mechanic) who helps me with some of my car work is saying I shouldn't even bother doing an engine swap to any of those and he will help me do an engine swap with a small block from something. He was saying there are small blocks that can fit in my car and will tear up the road. I don't know. Lay it on me...which way should I go???????
