Mitsu has been on the rocks since the massive 6 million car recall 4 years ago when the japanese gov't found out that Mitsu has been hiding product defects for over 30 years (board and mgmt were criminally indicted and jailed)! Now this year Mitsu Truck came clean after years of denial regarding 240,000 trucks with failing hubs and the death of a pedestrian when one of the wheels fell off the truck. Any company this dishonest (cough ford) should go out of business but i'm sure the japanese gov't will bail them out in the end. But looks like in the US they will disappear...shame since the best car they make (evo) is quite a performer and quite affordable.
