That's a tough one John. My step dad, who has 3 kids that live near the canadian border, has a similar situation. What he does is he has them either take the train or take the plane. Southwest airlines is relatively cheap, and really easy to arrange. I don't know if this is an option to you, but I honestly believe maintaining a relationship with your daughter is essential for not only her sake, but for yours as well.
