This technology solves the age-old compromise between tuning an engine for peak torque or peak horsepower, and provides the best of both worlds. With VTEC, the engine delivers ample low-rpm torque and high-rpm power without sacrificing either, while delivering surprising fuel efficiency. Other engine features that bear out the legacy of Soichiro Honda are lightweight aluminum construction, overhead cams, and four valves per cylinder for maximum efficiency and outstanding performance.
