Well, that is true in a sense, but rather than call it a simple rebuild, which kind of implies using stock parts, I'd argue that you're really building up the B18B block to handle the stresses a Frankenstein conversion will put on it -- upgrading the oiling, cooling and structural systems of the motor as opposed to simply replacing worn OEM parts with their identical replacements..

AAR, a number of threads in the past have gone into much more detail on how to build a strong Frankenstein. [Heck, if smog wasn't such a bish out here in Cali, I'd probably build one myself. :happysad:] So take a few minutes to peruse the other discussions via our search engine, when the time comes.
