Well, that is true in a sense, but rather than call it a simple rebuild, which kind of implies using stock parts, I'd argue that you're really building up the B18B block to handle the stresses a Frankenstein conversion will put on it -- upgrading the oiling, cooling and structural systems of the motor as opposed to simply replacing worn OEM parts with their identical replacements..
