Hey, some jackass smashed into my 96 integra (while I was stopped at a red light)

So now I must look for another car. I found one that I might look at, but I had some general questions about hybrids. This car has a swapped engine, which I haven't seen yet, and I wanted to know if they are reliable...meaning will parts break or get messed up more often than a car with its original motor.

Second...if I buy it I have to get it smogged. On the for sale post, it says it won't pass smog. How can I get it to pass? at least for the certificate. BTW here is the link to that particular car:cars.com civic
