alright im not even sure if idle is the right term for what is happening to my car.but anyways I was driving on the freeway today and was driving pretty fast in fourth gear. when I noticed that my RPM started shooting up when I was gunning it. at first I didn't think too much of it cause I thought it was just in the cluster (maybe messed up or something) but then I started hearing it in the engine ( like it would shoot up and then come back to where it's supposed to be). could this have anything to do with the fuel pump cause I had a fuel cut off switch installed in my car. any help is appreciated.
