Not really true with frame rate, now you can get cameras close to 10 fps with 40 shots continuously in best quality as long as you are willing to pay up to 4k!!! Haha!

And that's better than film, because you have to change film every 36 shots. I can't count the number of times I had film on number 34 when the bride walking down the isle. Dang it. The non-reloading of digital is a god sent for situations like this.

I am sure in a year or two fast digital cameras will be very affordable. Digital is developing so fast. 4 years ago an affordable digital SLR wasn't possible, now uncle joe and cousin john are running around with 300d and 10d (for better or worse).
