So you guys mean that if i leave 2000 rpm before redline it should be ok (engine)? i have never redlined my car.. i usually feel how it feels so when it's time to change gears (which is at 3 or 3.5k) i usually do.. I've never heard of stories (good/bad) about going above 4k, but are there? I've been driving manual since '00 and I've always made sure I do what I've been taught.
i try to bring mine to 5,000 everyday, but normally i redline everyday, im getting ready to put a new engine in hopefully this summer so im not too worried about long term effects on this one
