get decent software for maintanance and you don't need to reformat - that said I've loaded windows at least 10x on my PC over the last 4 years -- usually pre-SP1. Once was bad to a horrible Virus that I couldn't get rid of, and 2-3 times b/c I felt like it.
I had SP2 on my PC and I removed it... It is stable yes, but my god it slowed my PC down alot, and it is a bit over protective... Can't check UCD email anymore, or even access any secure sites that have to do with Wells Fargo or UCD.
