hahaha.. that's what I do most of the time.. I shifted to 2nd cuz I was stupid and I thought it'll go faster than shifting to 3rd or 4th.. So you guys mean that if i leave 2000 rpm before redline it should be ok (engine)? i have never redlined my car.. i usually feel how it feels so when it's time to change gears (which is at 3 or 3.5k) i usually do.. I've never heard of stories (good/bad) about going above 4k, but are there? I've been driving manual since '90 and I've always made sure I do what I've been taught.
