Cometic has a line of thicker head gaskets to lower CR.

As for the rods, I'm not really sure how much power the stock ones can handle. If you're going to be replacing them anyway or at least that far into the motor because of the bearing, then I guess forged aren't a bad idea. Eagle also makes a pretty nice rod, not sure whether it needs any machine work to fit in an H22 like you say the Crower does.

Cam gears, there's a bazillion and one different kinds out there.
