"Overall, there does not seem to be a significant difference between PRK/LASEK and LASIK in the percentage of patients achieving 20/20 to 20/40 at the end of six months. In our hands, the incidence of over- or under-correction, the need for enhancements (touch-ups), decreased correctable visual acuity, infection, rate of complications and long term side effects are essentially equal. Some surgeons feel that enhancements are safer and more accurate in LASIK patients, but this has not been proven."

thats just one of many doctors sites. I've done a lot of reasearch, and nowhere has it been discussed that LASIK is a more precise proceedure _ I've spent countless hours reasearching everything about laser eye surgery and the alternatives.
that is correct that the recovery period is much short, I would have had LASIK if i was allowed

not completely sure, but i don't think they offer the VISX customvue with the PRK/LASEK.
FDA clinical study data presented at the 2003 ASCRS Symposium showed that at one year following the procedure, 98% of the clinical study participants could see 20/20 or better UCVA, while nearly 70% had either the same or better post-op UCVA compared to their pre-op BSCVA. A six-month evaluation of the clinical study participants showed that four times as many
participants were very satisfied with their night vision after the VISX CustomVue procedure, compared to their night vision before with glasses or contacts.
some statistics on customvue
