True, but your going to be hard pressed to fade well maintained brakes on the street, I hardly even fade my brakes on the track when I have the right pads a good fluid in the system.
If your doing a big break upgrade for looks that is no big deal, if you are doing it for more stopping power, I always say be sure you need it before you spend tones of money... but thats just me

And yes the SSBC calipers look pretty crappy.
