well I'm pretty much done for my suspension and after upgrading breaks I wanna have my plan for the motor set...i'm not looking at anything crazy at all..just a veryvery mild or light build of my f22b1...i'm pretty clueless on engines so help would be appreciated..I don't have a set power goal..I just want a good mid and high power range that won't put a dent in my wallet

plans: I want the motor to rev to 7k and raise compression to 9:1 or maybe 10:1?..I don't really know how stout the f22 is on doing this but i'm guessing I need to replace rods, pistons, and valvesprings? then run a vafc for tuning and a good cam that will make power to that range..am I going down the right track so far? any input would be great..also if the stock parts are fine then i wanna know..don't wanna spend more money than i have to =)

btw I heard the ex header would be fine for small n/a applications..is it worth investing in a aftermarket header also? I don't wanna spend like $300 dollars for 2 hp
