i have a 2003 honda 954rr WAY toooooo much bike

a very good beginner bike is the kawasaki 250 ninja. it's one hell of a quick bike despite being "only" 250cc. you can buy a brand new one for $2999, it won't cost alot to insure & will be good to learn on w/ out having too much bike to get ya in over your head.

as exnbp said....take the MSF

once you fell a lil comfortable, if you can afford it (not inexpensive) i HIGHLY recommend the freddie spencer school. http://www.fastfreddie.com/default_hrv4Street.htm
i went the first of this month & it was the best time i've EVER had on a bike. i also realized i've got 20 years of bad riding habits to fix.

also, i cannot stress the impotance of a quality jacket, gloves & helmet. i had a pretty bad wreck last year & if not for my $200 joe rocket jacket, i would've broke my colorbone in @ least 2 places according to the doc & prolly would've brused some vertebra in my back & been unable to walk for a few months. as it was, i was pretty beat-up & seperated my sholder pretty bad, but got VERY lucky.

any addl ?'s you can him me up on aim or yahoo messenger
