You guys DO realise that alot of people on there dont own BMWs or Porsches. It is specialized towards BMWs, but DTM and the rest of the Teckademics crew has a lot of other cars, MR2 Turbos, MX-6s, amongst others... Its a popular website, and is affiliated with 3 DVDs and a forth one about to come out...
Also, I dont see why Honda/Acura owners, or anyone else gets so upset when someone has a nice car... If you were offered a BMW, you'd take it too... A lot of these people didnt get their cars from their "daddy", me being one of them. Alot of the 19,20 year olds bought M3s and other cars with their own money. I being one of them. Just because all you can afford is a Civic DX, that doesnt make us or you any better than anyone. What makes a person superior when it comes to cars is knowledge and driving ability. Saying that a Honda even compares, or is even in the same class as a BMW is just ridiculous. Yes, you can make a Honda 10 seconds in the 1/4... but what if that BMW did the same set up as you have, and was orginally faster to begin with? Stock for stock (which is where i think the best car should be decided) Hondas dont stand a chance... And for the "you drive the bottom of the barrel porsche" comment, I personally would rather drive any clean Porsche than a supped up Honda anyday... After all... when all is said and done, its still an economy car....
These opinions arent the same as everyone else on DTM, I was just posting this so people wouldnt think that we are a bunch of rich 16 year olds who dont know how to drive. And yes, I hate them too.
thanks for sticking up for the better people on your board. of course i'd rather have a BMW, but i can't afford one, and it irritates me when people make fun of us because we can't afford a better car (which is not everyone on this board, but oh well). as for the lowest porsche comment, i just can't stand when people think they are hot shit because they drive a porsche and think they are better than the rest of the world, but in reality they drive a lower end model. thats just my opinion, not everyone here has the same one. but in all honesty, thanks for trying to clear up the issue and i understand your point completely.
