When it does stick the ignition has to be turned off, pull over and physically push on it to undo it. However, it doesn't take much pressure. It's really dangerous.
does the butterfly open freely when you push on it or is there some resistance? could your throttle body be dirty?
if it is just buy some throttle body cleaner, spray the butterfly then clean it up. hope this helps and good luck.
