actually, the y7s have two cats. Theres one in the header, and one under the car. There's two o2 sensors, as well. From my understanding (reliable source), the ex shit will bolt right on, and even if you have a hanging sensor (which you will if you do an ex swap), there shouldn't be any problems.

but then again, I've been driving with this header like this forever h: I'm in no real hurry to fix it, really. But then again, I don't smell exhaust..... yet....

The 96 was recalled up to 150K miles, the 97 was only 100K. Check your local dealer to see if you can get a freebie first.


I think the Y7 only has one cat. The one in the header is the only one I can think of. The bulge under the car looks like a cat, but it's actually a resonator. The two sensors are standard on an OBD2 system. It takes a reading before the cat and one after the cat.
