The EX header is just the header with the primary O2 sensor at the collector. The cat is bolted on after the header.
The DX/LX has the cat in the header and the primary O2 sensor is on the top of the header near the head.
The EX header will fit the head of the DX/LX, but you will need to get either an aftermarket cat or get an EX/Si cat.
I had a LX header on but the cat went bad, didn't realize junk yards didn't sell the exhaust manifolds with CAT's so I had to get the EX version...bolted right up...and now I have a metal rasp to my exhaust cause it's straight pipping....
Ah yes...how pretty that check engine light looks..
