yeah, the H22 only ways about 40-50 lbs more then a B-series motor. The problem with the whole deal is this:
1) Place Racing H22 Mounts blow. They have little product testing and almost no engineering time into the design of the mounts. They use a cheap welded metal design and the powder coat it all to make it look pretty. They just copy others designs, mainly HCP. but the mounts generally are really bad copies and the orientation of the motor is not consider that much. The engine mount applied a load to the frame rail on some angle that it wasn't designed for, so it tore out of the rail
2) the weld used to fix the mount probably weakened the metal even worse. its been established that whoever did it obviously didn't know what they were doing. the heat might have been to high and the he could've welded in one spot for to long, while pouring on all that extra metal. Its a common known fact that metal warps and stresses while being welded.
3)Honda does sell that piece of sheet metal that goes in front of the shock tower. Its actually a common thing to replace in front end repairs. Go to a body shop to have this fixed, probably replacing it is better...just have them weld in a new one, and you'll be fine.
4) after everything is fixed, replace mounts with HCP or HASport mounts.
