If you drive a Honda, don’t forget that the valve train needs periodic maintenance in the form of valve lash adjustments. Since Honda builds high-revving engines with relatively “long” cam timing events, solid valve lifters (tappets) are used instead of maintenance-free hydraulic units. This can be a great advantage to the Honda tuner as the valves can be manipulated to work better with forced induction, nitrous or in a certain engine load and RPM range.
