if you launch right you can use stock axles easy....I know of 600+whp hatches all using stock axles and using one set for an entire year. we are talking 10 second passes here and 1.5 60's or better.
this is how you manage to not break axles with slicks:
1. DO NOT TURN THE STEERING WHEEL DURING THE BURNOUT!!!!!!!!
2. DO NOT side step the clutch at 7 grand!
3. DO NOT use a slick TOO BIG(IE how tall not wide) for your HP
4. launch high in RPM's but slip the clutch tring to keep the RPM's at a constant
