hey yall i was wondering if it was ok/better to add half a quart more of motor oil to the engine when youre pushing the car hard (redlining) once in a while. a while back, when i didnt put the extra motor oil in, the car would knock for a while when idling after an extensive driving session. so i thought of this. its not leaking anywhere, but once in a month id have to add half a quart. any better ideas or comments?

i guess it burns the oil since i use synthtic.
