The biggest problem with finding a used Type R is finding one that is in great shape. It's alot harder that I thought it would be. I've been looking for months and driving hours to see ones with big door dings oil deposits on the rear bumper above the exhaust, scratched wheels, filthy oxidized engine bays, and so on. The easiest way to tell if the car has been driven to hell is to look at the exhaust and so if it is burning oil (bad rings). This is a great indication of how hard (often) the engine is pushed. Check to see if all the VIN #'s are consistent. Good luck!
