ok this is fantastic...im the brother to this 'mechanic' we speak of, he drives and extremely modified 93 civ ex and i drive a modified 94 GSR, im stating this as facts and not to cause some gay ass online fued...anyway all the work that has been done or will be done to either of our cars are done by him 95% of the time, the other 5% is me...our good friend, civondubs, so happened to become interested and decided to invest in a swap...in a matter of three separate sundays we had the old motor out and the new one tested, prepped and in the new car running. yes we did experience some problems such as some codes and idling, but it all worked itself out...and as an update the crazy idle was fixed yesterday due to a bad ground connection from battery to chassy, and as for the 16.4 at the track, i was there and watched him race...and in my opinion he did damn well for somewhere who, again, has only been driving stick for 2 WEEKS...besides that he has no track experience whatesoever, yes he was slow on the jump and shifting was probably rough, but u have to realize that he invested all that money into a motor swap, something alot of us plan to due or want to do, and we can all tell how anxious he must have been, so he watned to and we decided it was safe, and it ran great and pulled hard, installation is fully complete, tests all check out and the car runs great, so i commend those who stated 'keep practicing and it all comes in time' and for everyone else who has something to say about that one wire MAYBE making the motor blow up, what do u have to say about nitrous, or a turbo, and any modification done to a motor that differs from factory, u can make the same arguement for cold air, or a header, or exhaust or high flow cat, come on lets use common sense here
