TO 97-241 there is a way to Get the old engine number with out the block in hand ... you are right they Stripped the drivetrain.. :cry:
you have to get the local Police to get off there ass to print out a (shipping/Assembly Record) this record has all your car info from when it came in on the boat from japan such as :
make, yr, color (color if entered)
Vin number
shipping date to dealer
dealer it was sold to
Block number
tranny number
airbags numbers
cable reel number
srs Ecu number (obd2 srs sensor built in )
right and left SRS sensor number if obd1
