Dell Inprison 8200 1.6Ghz Pentium 4M, 512Meg (upgraded it from 256 off crucial), 64M GForce4 440 video, 30G HD, MiniPCI Dell Wifi card, DVD/CDRW drive, 2 USB 2, 1 firewire.
I paid a little over $1000 off Ebay for it. The next generations were out (8500's). It was a Dell refurbished job and came with MS works, Norton AV and XP Home.
I bought it cause it had good specs and was my primary system till I built my gaming rig. Now I wish I had bought something lighter. It has a 15" screen and weighs damn near 8 pounds so it isn't portable and has around ~2 hours battery life. I took it to Vegas with me and tried to watch some DVD's on the plane. I had to put the keyboard on my chest to even open the damn thing and see the screen and it didn't even make it through a complete run of Ronin. Dell makes a 300m and 600m that look good. The 300m is really lights but doesn't have a built in CD drive though. If I had to do it again, I would have gotten a 600m.
