The standard Hella kits have a more purpilish appearance like new Acura's, and the standard Philips kits have more of a blueish color, like the new Nissan's.

The 6000K and up kits just have a coating in the glass (like cheap "blue bulbs") that filters out certain colors... making them appear a different color, but also making them dimmer. I saw a new Yukon the other day with one of those high K kits in it, and they were like barney purple... they looked really cheesy if you ask me.

I have Osram (hella) bulbs in my car, and I love them...

If you can, definatly get a Philips or Hella kit... they are both reputable brands that make quality products. You can find them on eBay all the time. The K2 kits suck, so stay away from them. Eagle eye and Eaglite are also good brands... I think they both use philips ballasts.
