I considered relocating to FL once. I would have been able to buy a house and pay it off in 3-4 years. Well it wouldn't have been a big house, just 1500sq/ft.
A nice new custom home (3000sq/ft) would have been under $300K with nearly all upgrades
that was 2 years ago.
if you live in crestview, you can build a 1500 sq ft homes, which is quite large for $106,000, 2000 sq ft for $120,000 and 3000 sq ft for about $130,000
fort walton beach is pretty much built, so if you find a house over 1500, you're probably going to pay out the ass for it. anything under 1500 is usuallay priced around $100,000 - $120,000 depending on location. Anything near water jacks the price up another $100,000- NO JOKE.
