i had mine in the backyard, i just had it well covered to keep rain away.
I ment when they are shipped they are already drained and such...so you dont really need to worry about gas lines gunkin up or injectors...etc......plus I am sure your motor has been sitting in a wharehouse somewhere and a couple more months cant hurt it.
