I would be just as particular if the pads never saw the track. Which they don't 90% of the time. The Cobalts do dust but no worse than Axxis Ultimates that for the performance dusted way too much. The Cobalts dust is also much easier to clean up than the Hawks as a nice side note.

As for noise if you can't deal with a bit of squeal every now and then I sure hope you don't have a loud obnoxious exhaust on your car. I'd much rather have a brake squeal while stopping from time to time than a droning exhaust all the time. My hawks and my cobalts neither sqeaul more than once every couple of weeks and just one time and then stop.
