My buddy has a 1995 EJ Civic (DX) 5-speed. His car is painfully slow...he has an intake and exhaust. He doesn't have the money to buy a new motor for a swap. Plus, his current motor only has 17,000 miles on it (chassis 186K). His last motor hydrolocked due to a CAI.
What performance options are there for him that would give him reasonable performance for the dollar? He doesn't want to run nitrous either.
Can he afford a new transmission? An EX/Si tranny obviously won't give him more
power, but it'll make the car quicker. Also, if you have any machinist friends, take some pounds off of the flywheel.
