Even Maximum Boost has some follies.

You don't have to read just Honda specific books, read everything you can get your hands on. Performance theories and the physics behind engines apply across the board, so concentrate more on learning why certain things work, rather than what things work.

Also, don't take any author's word as gospel. Everybody makes mistakes, and I highly doubt anyone with the time to write an extensive book has both the mathematical/physics background as well as the machinist/mechanic background necessary to show what works, along with why it works with feasible mathematics.
