for myself, i will be the first to graduate from college in my family. through my parent's eye, it is something that they have never achevied and graduating from college is something i was put here to do. in their family back in china, you either went to school or tend the farm :dunno: out of 5 siblings, my uncle was the only one that had any education beyond the equivalent of our "grammar school." he is so happy that he gets to go to school, hes been in some kind of formal education system for the past 30 years. :doh: and learning that by getting financial aid, he is actually getting paid to go to school makes it that much more. anyhoo...my education is something i do to better myself, but a part of it is to fulfill that responsibilty to my parents.

forgot to mention the part about walking...h: its just a symbolic thing. my mom was pissed for a couple weeks because i didnt pick up my graduation photograph when i got my HS dipolma.
