The black box near the bumper you're speaking off sounds like the resonator. There's a big U shaped tube attached to it right? If so, then that's what it is and there are three bolts holding the whole assembly in place. Yes, this will need to come off to put the CAI on. And your intake system looks identical to the EX. It's the CX/DX/LX (d16y7) which have the downdraft t-body
