lets not forget that on an NA motor, the torque output is directly related to engine displacement. and we are talking about a 2.2 liter here, not some 3.5 liter V6. remember that the h22a makes excellent torque for its class of motor. cams and head design also play a role.

but yes, forced induction is just that...it forces more volume of air (displacement) by increasing pressure.

therefore a smaller 4 cylinder engine can "simulate" a V8 engine's displacement, by using a turbo or supercharger to force more air thru the combustion cycle.

edit: cam gears and fuel pressure adjustment should allow you to get some more torque outta that bitch in low to mid range powerband.
