I have to disagree. With some mods, and a turbo, nitrous, or supercharger setup, he would be racing nice cars. I don't race ricers, i look for the muscle cars, like mustangs. What kind of mustang do you have? if its a 5.0 its more then likely a foxbody stang. They are not exaclty fast or anything. But a gsr on the other hand, is not any faster. But if you like drive above normal speeds on backroads like do, then you might like a car that has some nice handling capablilities.

If i were you i would get a 95 - 99 integra ls ans turbo it. those engines can handle alot of power. And that would be a nice, fast car.
