Sorry, I know this thread is dated, but I have tried to find info on the internet whether it is safe to upgrade a JRSC'd D16Y8 (Civic EX) engine to the 8 psi pulley which Jackson Racing sells as the "boost upgrade kit" if you have 100% stock internals. The standard pulley is the 6 psi one that comes with the kit. Will the upgrade 8 psi pulley damage the engine
? This car is a daily commuter and I NEED it to last. The only mods I have are the JRSC, JR fuel pump, air intake, and header. Thanks for any help.
