And believe it or not, companies care about their image. Ask a club racer if he'd buy stuff from a site that catered to street racers - even if they sell products cheap that the club racer needs, that racer is gonna walk. he'll go somewhere like opm.
BTW, I just recently registered here. I knew about the site from way back, but the street racer type crowd kept me away. Whether that's good or bad, you decide

I'm sure you can find exceptions to anything. No members = no sponsors. Plain and simple. Now, the "powers that be" may want to
replace all of the members like me, but they certainly don't want to simply lose us all. (And by saying "like me" I mean members who feel they should be able to DISCUSS street racing)
