Default Horsepower & Torque

i'm a bit confused about tq and hp. the base specs for my engine are:

F20A4 133hp /5300rpm 179lb/ft /5000rpm

Horsepower = torque x rpm / 5252

...below 5252 rpm any engine's torque number will always be higher than its horsepower number, and above 5252 rpm any engine's horsepower number will always be higher than its torque number. At 5252 rpm the horsepower and torque numbers will be exactly the same.
if this is method of calculation is accurate, then i should have 170hp/5000rpm?

also, this is a very torquey engine. is that a good thing? it feels like a good thing. i heard someone saythat a true measure of an engine is torque, not hp. is this true? cause if so, i got a great deal. if not, oh well, it's better than a dead stock engine.

thanks in advance.
