Checked the valve clearance last night and they were right on spec. Intake is between 0.003" and 0.004" and exhaust is between 0.006" and 0.007".

So, the tapping noise when the engine is cold is from somethint else? Or, is it just the "normal" noise for the age of the engine (100k miles)?
